My wife and I raised 4 great kids, we love them dearly,but like all children they had moments of frustrating lack of responsibility.
It never failed in their young years that the blame for some bad action was never accepted without Dad or Mom actually investigating the situation and determining the culprit. When asking them who was to blame they always pointed the finger at their brothers and sister and said ” they did it”.
Sound familiar when looking at the situation in Washington DC? The Democrats blame the Republicans and the Republicans blame the Democrats. The President blames Bush, around and around we go and nothing gets done. Why? Because they all want to get re-elected or build their legacy. Where are the old fashion leaders or statesmen that put the good of the people ahead of their own? Like Elvis the have left the room.
The people of this country have been left without leadership.and the press wonders why there is so much anger among the people. We the people have no idea what is truth and what is spin. Our leaders do not want to face up to the fact that they have created a mess and have no idea how to fix it.
In the old days we had leaders that stepped up and faced the problem head on. The great leaders told the American people the truth about bad situations and then told us what was needed to fix the problem. Americans then stepped up to the plate and went to work. We have no Lincoln’s,Truman’s,Kennedy’s,Regan’s in Washington today. Our leaders “worked” New Years Eve and New Years day to produce a law that will do nothing to solve our problems. On top of this very disturbing fact, they added a bunch of new items that were not part of the problem they were supposed to solve. It is true they saved the “Middle Class” from increased taxes but they added items that will increase our debt.
You have to wonder what they were doing for the last two years. We pay them to solve problems but they never get around to discussing the biggest problems we have until the last-minute and then they act as if they are doing something spectacular in passing laws that do nothing but delay them until a “future” date.
These guy’s are a bunch of very small children and are not worth the pay we send them.
